Meet The Team 

    Steve Alford

    Steve Alford is the president of this third generation family owned company. His vocation and advocation have been one in the same all of his life.

    A Michigan State University alumnus, Steve enjoys boating, golf, studying business strategy and family when not at work.

    Steve has been happily married for 26 years to Tracy and has two successful children, Andrew and Emma.

    Stephanie Simms

    Stephanie Simms is Controller and part of the leadership team at LSI. Prior to her role with LSI, Stephanie worked within the steel industry and as a business consultant for many years.

    Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Michigan.

    She is a wife and mother of two athletic children. Stephanie actively supports her daughter’s athletic pursuits in competitive cheerleading and her son in travel baseball. In her free time, she is an avid baseball fan and supporter of American Cancer Society.

    Dave McFarlane

    Dave McFarlane, Procurement Manager, Landscape Supply Inc employee since 2014

    Dave attended Michigan State University where he studied Horticulture and graduated with a B.S in Ornamental horticulture.  Dave has roughly 20 years of landscape experience from designing and installation, to plant care and nursery management. 

    Dave is happily married with three beautiful daughters. He enjoys spending time with them as much as possible while entertaining friends and family at home.  He recently has taken up CrossFit and healthier living and links that balance to a happier life.

    Chad Fisher

    Chad Fisher is a team member at Landscape Supply Inc. Before coming to LSI in March of 2018, he worked in the lawncare business.

    Chad is married with two daughters. Some of Chad’s favorite things to do is spending time outdoors bow hunting and taking his boat out bass fishing. But more importantly he loves spending time and making memories with with his family.

    Joel Miller

    Joel Miller – Operations Manager and Plant Health Specialist. Joel has been in the green industry for 30 years, LSI is only the third place he’s worked. 

    Hobbies include but not limited to; shooting sports, bonsai and carnivorous plants. 

    Mike Evans

    Mike Evans Account Manager – I started in the nursery business in the spring of 1981, it is the only field that I have ever worked in to this day. My first job was loading cars at a retail nursery. Since then I have had the opportunity to learn all aspects of the nursery business from a hands on perspective. From digging trees, unloading and loading trucks to sales, purchasing and inventory management.

    I have made many good friends over the years in this field.

    This year my wife Catherine and I are celebrating our 29th year of marriage. We have three grown children ages 26, 23 and 20.  We adopted them from Ukraine in 2005 at the ages of 12, 9 and 5. ( get me started and I will talk about this forever)

    When I am not spending time at Landscape Supply , I enjoy serving at my church and tutoring at risk children in the City of Detroit.  

    Hugh McGillivray

    Hugh is an Account Manager who has many years of experience in the nursery industry.

    He is an active member with Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA) and is part of the Executive Committee.

    Hugh offers much humor and laughs on a daily basis. 

    Bree Baccki

    Bree joined the LSI family in February of 2022 as an Administrative Assistant.

    She enjoys spending time with her 2 sons and is expecting a baby girl in May!

    Other hobbies Bree enjoys are attending car shows and antique stores. Vintage furniture finds and giving them a makeover is one of her favorite things to do when she finds the time.
